Christ As Healer- Reinstatement

CHRIST AS HEALER

Reinstatement
John 21:14-19

Opening Prayer: Thank You, Lord, for removing my transgressions from me as far as the east is from the west and for hurling them into the sea.  Thank You that I am whiter than snow before You, that nothing can separate me from Your love, and that no condemnation can remain against me, because Jesus Christ is my Savior.  By Your grace I will walk in the light of Your forgiveness.  I praise You, I love You, and I thank You.  In Christ’s Name I pray.  Amen.

ENCOURAGEMENT

God’s Word is the perfect place to receive encouragement, for no one can give you greater encouragement than your gracious Heavenly Father Who loves you with His perfect love.  He knows just what you need to hear so that you will be spurred on to persevere in your circumstances.  Praise Him for the gift of His Word and the encouragement that you receive in Him through it.

Be encouraged as you re-write the following scriptures, filling in your name wherever indicated.

Hebrews 13:5

Psalm 103:12

Micah 7:19

Romans 8:38-39

Romans 8:1

Isaiah 1:18-19

Jeremiah 31:34b

Describe the impact of the Lord’s encouragement to you.

GOD’S PATH

Although God’s path is not always smooth, it is always necessary, for He knows the skills, abilities, gifts, graces, talents, wisdom and knowledge we will need to fulfill His purpose in our lives.  We can trust that, whatever is going on in our lives, God will work it all together for our good and for His glory.  Willingly submit your will to His plan so that you are in the center of His will wherever He may lead you.
Follow wherever He leads you whether or not you understand His destination for you.  Though He may ask you to leave your place of comfort and go to a new place of His choosing, that will be His place to bless your obedience and perfectly provide your needs.  In this way He will fulfill His purpose for your life.

Do you know where the Lord is leading you?  Chronicle your thoughts, passions, and desires about your journey with Him at the present time.  Seek Him in prayer and His Word about His plan for your life and submit your will to His.

Consider these scriptures about His purpose and plan for you:

Mark 14:36

Psalm 138:8

Proverbs 3:5-6

John 14:6

Psalm 23:4

Job 22:21-22

YOUR HEALING

Spend time in prayer and journaling as you tell the Lord where you feel wounded right now.  Seek Him in His Word for His instruction and encouragement about your wounds and your much desired healing.  Confess your sins concerning these wounds, forgive those who have wounded you, and ask the Lord to disclose to you any steps of reconciliation that He wants you to take.  Obediently do all those things, placing them in His hands and walking in the light of His sovereign love, mercy and care, for He will faithfully heal your wounds in His perfect timing and way.  End your time with Him in praise, worship, and thanksgiving.

Consider these scriptures of encouragement:

Closing Prayer: I receive Your forgiveness, mercy, grace, and love that is freely given to me in spite of who I am or what I do.  Lead me in Your path for me as I surrender my will to Yours.  Thank You for Your continuing encouragement in my life so that I may follow You wherever You lead.  Order my steps in Your Word so that Your will is done and You are always mightily glorified in and through my life.  In Christ’s Name I pray.  Amen.
