“Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” Psalm 27:14
“But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.” Romans 8:25
I’m waiting... eagerly and excitedly (sometimes patiently). Tomorrow we learn if a particular family is going to make an offer on our house. We’ve had it on the market for close to two years and are hoping so much that the Lord is finally bringing the folks whom He wants to have our house. Though the wait continues we have hope that this is “it”. Only by the manifold grace of God have we been enabled to wait. HE has made this wait possible. Of course this might not be “it”, but we’ll continue to live by His grace until it is “it”. He is faithful and will bring “it” to pass. He will get all the glory for making it happen. Praise Him!
Lately I’ve also been eagerly anticipating something else... living for all eternity with my Abba Father. Recently I read passages from Revelation 19-22. WOW! What a glorious future we Christians have set before us by our great and mighty God Who loves us like no other. I find myself excited and grinning from ear to ear as I read and understand what He tells us about our heavenly Home. It is so far beyond anything I can fathom but it makes me shout hallelujah and praise the Lord!!! I know that it’s not yet my turn to go Home, but I am so awed by all that the Lord has in store for those who love Him and have been saved by His grace. To know and understand (as much as a human can) even the bare basics of what Heaven will be like is so overwhelming and exciting. I can hardly wait till it’s my turn!
“Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and His servants will serve Him. They will see His face, and His Name will be on their foreheads. There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever.” Revelation 22:1-5
